Welcome to the Eldorado Convertible Registry for the 1984 & 1985 Cadillac models. This site is dedicated to preserving the legacy of one of Cadillac’s most unique and collectible vehicles—the factory-authorized 1984 Eldorado Convertible and the 1985 Biarritz Convertible, both built in limited numbers during their respective years.
Cadillac partnered with the American Sunroof Corporation (ASC) to transform specially built Eldorado Biarritz coupes into convertibles on a dedicated side assembly line at the Cadillac facility in Linden, New Jersey. Only about 3,300 1984 Eldorado Convertibles were produced, with approximately 2,300 1985 Biarritz Convertibles following, making these models some of the rarest Cadillacs of the era.
Our mission is to:
Honor these cars and their unique place in Cadillac history,
Document surviving examples, their options, RPO codes, colors, and histories,
Share knowledge & resources for enthusiasts, restorers, and future collectors.
Get a count of how many cars were made in what color. Whether your 1984 Biarritz Convertible or 1985 Eldorado Convertible is a pristine show car or a work-in-progress, we invite you to add it to the registry. Every car documented helps us build a clearer picture of how many remain and what makes each one special. Your contribution will help preserve the history of these rare convertibles for future generations of Cadillac enthusiasts.
